La escuela y comunidad:
Last spring, the Spanish Club sold "pulseras" (bracelets) as part of The Pulsera Project, a non-profit organization that supports and empowers young Nicaraguans, youth shelter organizations, and Nicaraguan communities. Volunteers support fair trade, deliver economic aid, and embrace rich and progressive ideas about volunteer service. This was our second year volunteering with The Pulsera Project.
Great news! Spanish 3 is now offered as a dual enrollment class (college credit) through Keystone College!!! This is in addition to Spanish 4, which was already offered as a dual enrollment class!
Last fall, FCR students (7-12) participated in Spanish Club's Day of the Dead Dance & Carnival. Students listened to Spanish music, danced, played games, hit a piñata, and competed in various contests surrounding this important holiday.
